This law firm services the broader Rochester area and assists clients with a wide variety of legal practice areas.

Target Audience

The end-user is looking to engage with a larger full-service law firm with extensive litigation experience. They want to feel reassured in working with a family-run firm with long-standing ties to the Rochester community.

Design Solution

I designed a professional-looking website, with a focus on Rochester imagery to establish some local pride. The client had requested a more minimal use of color, as their previous design utilized brighter maroons and gold. I incorporated a darker, moodier shade of maroon and used it sparingly to highlight key elements and break up the neutrals, as-needed. I also slightly desaturated the Rochester photos to fit the new color theme. The black and white skyline graphic, behind the practice areas sub-navigation, subtly moves with you as you scroll past that section. The serif font is sophisticated and traditional, and the accompanying sans serif font is extremely readable on all device sizes. The layout itself is modular, with an overlapping, layered effect to break up the content make the design more engaging and memorable.
